2018 Anthem Quirks

My 2016 Anthem is now 4 years old and overall we've had good luck with it. Yes, we had to replace the radiator core and surge tank and a few other minor items under warranty but nothing major.

I have a friend who was ready to purchase a used 2016 Anthem so I was able to give him a summary of most of the chronic issues with this generation of Anthems. But now that he is looking to purchase a newer 2018 Anthem I am unable to provide him with much guidance on what to look for and what warranty covered items may not yet have been completed by Entegra on the 2018 model-year Anthems.

Any thoughts on chronic issues with the 2018 Anthems?

Depending on when it was first purchased the Entegra warrenty is probably done. Spartan is 3 year and it would be wise to set up a maintenance visit with them. Cummings is 5 years.

I'll list my top four issues over the last two+ years:

1) Aquahot. several issues that would be caught during annual maintenance. Be sure to run everything from the Aquahot to see how it performs.
2) I've had 2 Hadley manifolds replaced as well as the controller. Again run everything you can depending on air and check for leaks. This is Spartan and still under warranty.
3) Cabinetry. It's pretty but somewhat flimsy in places. All of the bedroom drawers I've had to put heavy screws in the bottoms. They are simply stapled in and will not hold weight. The under sink cabinet was on flimsy tracks and if you store the sink tops where they go it will cause issues.
4) Smelly water. Lots of posts here on various solutions.

Obviously there are many, many other things to touch and check, these were my hot buttons.

It's likely that a used 18 would be pretty well sorted. I wonder if there is a way to check that out with Entegra?
