2018 Anthem Whirlpool Washer Problem

2018 Anthem 44B

Our Whirlpool Washer is leaking a small stream on the front of the Washer that is coming from the soap dispenser pull out tray.

We check for any items hung behind the washer door gasket at 10 and 11 oíclock and cleaned out the soap dispenser too but still a small stream runs out when the washer fills.

Any ideas ?

Thanks!

That tray soap dispenser has a slant towards the machine. Any water, soap etc that's in there should run into the washer. I would pull the dispenser out and make sure there are no obstructions where it drains into the washer.

Front Loaders

Also, my experience with using front load washers for years has been they do NOT like liquid detergents unless you add it directly to the clothes in the drum.
The liquid in the dispenser never gets fully rinsed out of the hose that goes to the drum which can cause your clothes to smell and it builds up in the hoses.
If you want to use the dispenser use powder detergent.
I've been doing it for years with never any issues.
Just my 2 cents.

When you mentioned clothes smelling bad after washing that really had us thinking we had clogged up our hose from the dispenser tray.

We have had low water pressure due to RV snowbird packed campgrounds and been using liquid detergent but the dispenser tray was not clogged so the clog must be in the hose from the tray to the drum.

We ran vinegar and super hot water and let it sit in the hose for 30 minutes then ran a very long HOT water cycle and it appears the leak of water out of the dispenser tray/drawer is slowing to a stop.... Whoo Hooo!

Thank you Kevinantholt!
