Very strange looking design on the rear cap. I'm guessing (hoping) it looks better in person than in the renderings.
Also, I keep hoping to one day see a move away from the 3S-4C paint schemes (swoops, swirls and stripes in four colors). Apparently not yet, although it looks as if the 2019 schemes may have five colors.

Larry, Sue says it looks like eyeballs in the design so she's going with an Owls head ! Paint pictures are notoriously awful so maybe it does look better in the real world. It appears the " crackle " effect has been eliminated.

The following works for me, using Windows 7 and the Firefox browser:
Click on the one of the images that Kutter posted. It will open up in a small window.
Click on it again. It will get a little larger.
Click on it one more time. It will get bigger still, and the resolution is still pretty decent.

Brain, if Sue is right it could be trouble for me! Amy is fascinated with owls. (Don't ask how many owls we have in our house, not to mention those in the motorhome.)
Personally, I'm not sure what to make of that design. It kind of reminds me of the tattoos women were getting on their lower backs some years ago.
Like you, I noticed the absence of the marbling (or whatever the appropriate technical term for it may be) in these renderings. I'm okay with that, but I do wish they'd try something other than swoops, swirls and stripes.

Has anyone actually seen the Platinum ultra leather for 2019? To me it looks brownish in the photo swatches. I was hoping for gray.
