2019 Entegra Anthem

I RECENTLY purchased a 2019 Entegra Anthem. I optioned for a Weingard model WF-4040 wifi range extender (the only one offered by Entegra). Paid a lot of money for this factory option. The salesman said i could use my AT&T sim card. WRONG! I now learn that I must use the Weingard service. Also discovered that Weingard service plan comparable to my AT&T) costs $150/month. Looks like I purchased a "boat anchor". Does anyone know how I can use this unit without paying the ridiculous monthly service fee to Weingard?

I maybe off base but I just search for my verizon WiFi, connect to Wiinegard. Let Wingard supply WiFi to PEPWave.

I have not previously read that the only way it worked was if you purchased the $150/month Winegard service... might be true, but never heard that.

However, most of us dont find that WIFI is an acceptable level of service about anywhere that we travel.... I have an unlimited ATT account, and now an unlimited Visible (Verizon) account and WIFI seems so 2005....

I do the same i have the 4020 and i just scan for wifi connect and works fine but its only slightly better / stronger than my Iphone hot spot. But no data limits using the parks wifi data over my Verizon plan hot spot 15GB per devices hot spot plan thur my iPads or Iphone. So i got to Quartzite i take 4 Ipad and one Iphone for a total of 75 Gb hot spot data. I stay at Q for a month so last year i used 45 gb this year take 2 add'l iPads. have to cut back on Netflix movies LOL
