2019 Entegra Cornerstone Flooring
We are on the verge of purchasing our first motorhome and we are very interested in the Entegra Cornerstone. But there is one item that keeps us looking at another manufacture and that is the carpet on the slide outs. We don't have a dealer with in 6 hours of us so we are doing all of our preliminary research on the web, entegracoach.com, this forum, social media.
Does anyone have information, pictures, or a video showing the new flooring option on the new 2019 Entegra Cornerstone that can be shared?
Thanks in advance

Tony, I am also interested in what that floor covering looks like in a Cornerstone I already have on order.
If you read the list of upgrades on Entegra’s website, you will see the name of the company that makes the new slide flooring product. They make it in a hundred different colors and forms. You can see and read about it on their website. Some of it might be excellent and look fantastic. However, there seemed to be a lot of owners and potential owners that were not impressed with the “look” of it at Perry. And there has been speculation that the flooring choice might be reconsidered in Middleburyebury... not sure if that is true, but I am having my dealer look into whether my coach can still be equipped with carpet and if the floor covering is still an option.
Gary
I have not seen it, so have no opinion, so would love to see anything that helps decide. My concerns are ability to clean, tendency to soil prematurely, etc.
Gary

I just ordered a 2019 Cornerstone 45A yesterday and the Dealer checked with the factory who said we could have the normal carpet on the slideouts.
Seems they might completely eliminate the option of the vinyl?

We have an anthem on order and switched to carpet instead of the Infinity flooring.

We ordered a '19 Cornerstone 45Y through RVOne in Des Moines and had them change the order to carpet on the one slideout, per the Perry attendee's advice. I think it was a good move!

Is there some stated benefit of the new flooring other than the looks, (which many don’t care for)?

They have gone back to carpet on all models due to the overwhelming negative response at Perry.

I saw the flooring on a 2019 at lazydays I did not think it was that bad,no carpet to stain might be a plus. Although as a disclaimer we do have grandheathens.

Tom, That was the problem at Perry, in 4 days of show traffic in looked 10 years old, dirty, waving and wrinkled. It was not attached to the floor, easy to trip over and see bare wood under the floor.
The floor would have been fine for outside use where it could have been pressure washed, but not in the traffic pattern and under the tables of MH's, being light colored it showed every bit of dirt. The picture I attached was on the first day, I now wish I would have taken that same picture of what it looked like on day 4.

I should be able to give you a pretty good idea on wear and ease of cleaning over the next few months. Our coach was built before they offered any option to have carpet. When I looked at it at Perry I thought it would be easier to maintain - looked like I would be able to clean with my steamer when I do the tile. I was more concerned about wear with chairs being moved and dogs catching claws. I haven't seen any documentation on cleaning yet - if I can't steam it, then it could be an upkeep issue. But I would also expect Entegra to stand behind the product and replace it if necessary. I know how hard it was to keep the carpet clean in our prior coaches. I'm willing to give this one a try. Carpeting as light as this floor would be a real PIA to keep clean. Waving and wrinkled...that's gonna be a whole 'nother story.

Sooooo, if the Infinity floor is not so hot, why not offer a flat floor with tile like Newmar does across all their new MHs. Especially if this is the “flagship” Cornerstone. Of course, that would require a redesign of the slide mechanism.
Just saying.....

You don't know how much I have wished for that, and I am sure a lot of Newmar purchasers did as well.
