2019 Vegatouch Date and Time

My date and time is not correct on the VT panel. In the network list it is connected to the Pepwave router but will not sync with my GPS. What am I missing?

Experienced the same error in time on our Vegatouch. Reset the 12V DC and time reset.

What version of the software is loaded? Before I updated to 1.46 I was getting all sorts of different readings. The update has corrected everything.

This is a guess.

Is your router set to a wifi or internet connection? If you are not connected to a cell phone WIFI, Im not sure if it has any reason to reset. I am not proficient to my VegaTouch software, but there is no GPS in your VegaTouch or router unless you have it connected to something that will have the time signal from a cell tower.

I may be wrong

You didn’t say how far off your time is.

Unless it changed in the 19s the Vegatouch gets time from the GPS in the dash. No outside connection is required. Does your GPS have a good GPS lock?

In 2 1/2 years with the Vegatouch we’ve had a couple of time where we changed time zones and it took the Vegatouch an hour or more to update to the correct time. In those cases the time was off by an hour until it finally updated.

Yes I have left the gps on and it has a lock. The date shows 1/11/00.

I’ve never used the in-dash nav system so I have to ask - does the in-dash nav system display a continuous time? If so, what does yours show?

Might check with Firefly if 1.48 has a bug in it that needs correcting. Did you have the time problem before updating? Just my limited experience, every update things change. With mine it was charger issue when power was reconnected. After the 1.46 it corrected the problem. Everything is working fine, so I have not updated.

I agree with Chuck, call Firefly. If the nav system time is correct the GPS is working properly, but the Vegatouch isn’t getting the time over the network; you already know that.

On my system I can go under the TV and unplug the power to the POE device which resets the network in a way cycling the power doesn’t. I have to do this periodically when my iPad stops communicating with the Vegatouch. This reset method came from Firefly; I’m still trying to get a permanent fix for the issue. The 19s may be different.

Finally got this fixed today. Called Entegra and the sent me a picture of the part that I needed to check the connection. It was under the panel in the dash and it was in fact unplugged!! Date and time now working. Great job from Troy at Entegra today.
