2020 Tires

Anyone know where I can get Toyo tires with date codes in 2020?. I ordered Toyo tires and they shipped 1.5 year old fronts and almost a year old rears. I declined the purchase. Tire dealer said their distributor has nothing stamped in 2020.

We have been hearing good things about Firestone FS400 tires. I have talked to more than ten tire shops and most recommended the Firestones over Michelin

I read a lot of good things online about them and decided to get 2 fronts and try them out

I got mine from Les Schwab, but it was during the pandemic. If you have one close, give them a call.

Look for a high volume truck oriented tire shop. My experience is that their prices (if you pay attention) are competitive with most shops (0f course, be sure and examine the big discount programs from FMCA.... their prices are usually MUCH better than you can get any other way for Michelin tires) but if you tell them up front what you expect (tires manufactured in 2020) should be able to call their supplier and order in recently made tires.

COVID may be part of the problem, and supply chain delays another part of the problem, but a high volume truck dealer should be able to make a phone call and tell you if your expectation is realistic or if you need to look at another brand.

JME, the last time I purchased tires, my dealer, in Ft Myers had to call the warehouse in Orlando to get current dated tires. The local distributor had older tires in stock. Find out from your dealer if there is a warehouse in addition to the distributor. The dealer which was Blvd Tire said if Orlando didn't have them he could try Atlanta if I didn't mind waiting. Blvd tire being so large I guess can call any of their warehouses.
