Our 2021 Anthem appears it will be delivered to dealer the middle of this month..in talking with the service tech, he said Entegra no longer is using pepwave routers and that the router being used is no longer inside the coach, but mounted in a cargo bay??? If this is so, which router is being used and is there a specific modem I should be getting to set up for internet use? Trying to get parts together for dealer to install during time they have coach during the PDI.

The 21 has the Winegard modem and wifi antenna system. It is a great system, very happy with it. Much more stable than the Prepwave was in my 19. Here is Ted Cooks Video expanding the set up. Hopefully this will al be done by the dealer, but it does explain the operation.

One nice thing about the new system, if the TV's laptops, etc are are signed on to the router, using an outside good wifi signal such as at NIRVC is just a push of an icon on the Vega Touch. The 5 exterior antennas pull in the signal nicely.

As for the modem, anything that is used wireless. My Nighthawk hotspot sits in the front overhead cabinet just blow the antennas. The signal loss is almost zero.

The Indoor unit is in the basement and provides power and connectivity via a Power Over Ethernet (POE) cable. The device has an imbedded SIM that only allows you to buy data in chunks from Winegard or use Wifi. I use the Wifi to connect to my ATT hotspot.

I also forgo the configuration screen on the Vegatouch and go directly to the router with a tablet or laptop. My gateway is http://192.168.124.100/ so I point my browser to the IP and logon from there. For me it is more reliable setting it up that way rather than the Vegatouch.

You may also find you need a firmware update on the Winegard unit(s). I ran that and did not notice a difference

On another note, I'm mildly exploring the possibility of replacing the Winegard unit with a WifiRanger. I prefer their software to the Winegard software.

All right, the dealer MSRP label says I’m supposed to have one, but I’m not sure what to look for. I assume there’s an antenna on top but is it a dome or an array. I’ll take another look at the video chuck posted. Tech seemed perplexed but in all fairness he was extremely busy today.

We had an issue on delivery getting the panel talking to the modem, vender support solved quickly. Not a big fan of Wingard data package, but the model performance on WIFI has been great.

We only plan on setting up internet via cable or hotspot...just have to figure out how to add a modem..

Download the winegard app. It talks to the modem and lets you control what network you tie into. It also lets you shift over to their cellular system once you have a data package. 10 gig for 60 bucks.

The antenna array is hard to see until you get up high enough to see over the awning boxes.

The antenna is a smaller disk with 3 or 4 vertical antennae (6" to 8" tall) could be black or white.

Everything will connect the same as the prepwave, just the physical location of the unit is in the basement. The advantage is a person can connect to other outside sources, such as park or dealer wifi with a boosted signal from the external antennas.

Living large. It took several try’s as I was scanning the wrong product code. I’m now networked and have the nebula app on my cell phone. I even updated the VegaTouch, and on a Saturday. Ver. 1.4.1 now.

The new Winegards is a Barrel shaped device on the top. They stopped using the Multi antenna units. This unit , for me, is easier and better that the WiFi Ranger. A SIM card can the added to the unit.
