2023 Anthem Coach Dead
I have a 2023 Anthem that has been plugged into a 50 amp power source since Sunday. I went out tonight (Friday) and the coach is completely dead except for the main power switch. The red light is on and will not go off. GO Power inverter shows charging and when I plugged in Sunday the VegaTouch showed 115v coming in on each leg. Coach won’t start, VegaTouch won’t power on or anything. I checked breakers none were tripped. What am I missing?

I’d haul out my digital voltmeter and make sure you really have 50A service to your coach. That 120 VAC on each leg. If there is, then make sure that same 120 VAC Is getting to your coach at the transfer switch. If it is, then check to see if your inverters / chargers are “on”.

I just had a call from a new 23 owner that just got home from his delivery. He had the same thing yesterday, dead batteries while plugged in, but all of his circuit breakers were tripped. I didn't have a clue what the problem might be.
I am going to text him now about your post, maybe you two can compare notes. He was calling Entegra yesterday.
Hope you guys will report the results for other new 23 owners. It's not something that has been reported on other new coaches.
Text was sent, I hope this will be an easy solution for both of you. Please keep us informed.

Does the inverter show charging now? If the VegaTouch won’t wake up then I assume you looked at LED on inverter to show it is charging?
Seems odd chassis batteries down in that period of time. I’m guessing a switch or relay issue. Was the main disconnect switch on or off when you left Coach Sunday?
Suggest turning off 50 amp and checking batteries to see if have any charge on them. That would give you an idea if the batteries are dead or there is a relay or switch problem.

There is an issues in the new coaches. Sometimes the inverter will show to be on and then go off. It will also show to be charging and then go off. Turn off the 50 amp breaker at the breaker panel inside, then go the 4th bay on the passenger side. You will see the 2 large battery disconnects. Turn them off. Then press that inviter switch. Then turn everything back on. There are also directions down there in the bay.

Bobby has the perspective of dealing with multiple new coaches and owners.... will be interesting to read feedback from those having the problem.

Bobby, I tried that just now and got nothing. I’ve confirmed I’m getting 240v out of my 50amp plug in the storage shed. I’ve got a Progressive surge protector plugged in which shows power supply is correct. I’m at a loss except to get the chassis batteries going so I can try to charge off the generator but still unsure why the 50amp isn’t powering the house.

How did you confirm the "240v out of my 50amp plug"?
Have you successfully used the 50AMP plug for an RV before?
Take care,
Stu

I have used a 50 amp plug before. I used my volt meter to confirm the plug is providing 240v at the receptacle. As shown on your diagram is have 120v on each right and left leg and 240v combined when checking them together.

And, 0V ground to neutral, right?
If it were me (it's NOT), I'd confirm that the volts are showing at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).
Just trying to "nail down" that you've got proper power into the coach. Probably best to completely eliminate that as a possible source of your issue.
My approach has, typically, been to try to eliminate the easiest possible sources of a problem before I go too deep into a system. An "Occam's Razor" approach to troubleshooting.
Once you get to software issues, you're well beyond my level of expertise.
It sounds like you may be headed that direction.
Good luck.
Take care,
Stu

Yes, 0v at ground to neutral. I put a charger on the house batteries this evening and was able to get them up to get power on in the coach. House batteries were at 10.8 when I got everything on. Inverter shows charging and VegaTouch shows shore power AC. I’ll see what it shows in the am.

I’m running into multiple charging issues on my 2020, especially since it left the factory. If the house batteries are already drained I would recommend giving the battery boost button a go for a couple seconds. This will pull 12v from the chassis to get the inverter/converter online. Obviously you’ll need the shore and power already connected so that it will start charging once it comes online.
Also, I’m not sure if it applies to Entegra’s, but on other Thor products, the master power switch at the front door must be on or the batteries will discharge when connected to shore power.

To the OP, sorry you are having these problems with your new coach.
I agree with checking the simple and easy first but when in doubt I look toward the Vegatouch because that is generally where the issue is. Especially when it comes to managing power to batteries.
Good Luck.

DMack,
We had a similar challenge with ours Anthem early on. You may already be aware of this, and if so I apologize for being redundant.
When you mention the Vega Touch is showing charging, have you checked the inverter is charging at the VegaTouch by holding down the Inverter button on the Home Screen of the Vega Touch to bring up the Inverter screen, and then see the if CHG button on right of the Inverter Screen is green? If it is red the Charger is not charging. If it is red, Try clicking the CHG that button to see if turns green. For our Coach both LED on Inverter and this on Vega have to be green for charging to occur.
There may be an interim screen between the Home Screen and the inverter screen but it is intuitive to move to inverter screen. I am not near my Coach now so I can’t check.
Let us know what you find out is causing your issues, please.
