We saw it and at first didn't like it. But then it started to grow on us. By the end of the rally I liked it a lot...lol I think it looked better when the slides were closed than when they were open.

The painter is getting 40K + extra for two weeks worth of work for this paint job and he's groaning because he's got more work? I'm in the wrong business...

Does he work for Entegra or another contractor? He probably is salaried or even an hourly employee. I doubt he is the one taking home the extra $$$. That would explain his lack of enthusiasm

Ive been around the custom bike and car world for a while and know several high end painters. You can easily dump that kinda cash into a street rod or low rider just on the paint. So in the grand scheme of the paint world and extra $40g for this size of project isn't too off base. IMHO

I haven't seen it in person but pictures rarely capture the true beauty of a quality paint job

I think those so-called ugly paint jobs are beautiful. Would not pay 40K for something else.

Someone will buy them, but it wont be me. JMHO.... I'll pass

It does tend to hide the headlight panels though

Maybe something in a USAF Thunderbirds color scheme?

This is a serious question please.

Personally I believe the dark skin on the upper portion of a coach really hides the black windows as they blend right in. When you have a light skin, the windows really stand out. Of course the dark skin has the downside of showing even mild swirl marks so there is no right answer here, just personal preference.

I guess if a person can spend upwards of a half-million on a coach, another $40k or so is no big deal. I sure couldn't do it.

FWIW, you can easily put $1000 into painting something as small as a motorcycle, and that's a couple of fenders and side panels and a tank -- maybe a small fairing. I'm not at all surprised a custom paint job on an RV would be $40k.

Back in 2011 we had our 40' DSDP painted. Full body with customary graphics which we designed. Not as cosmic as this one though. Took about 3 weeks and came in at around $15K. They did a very good job

I had custom show quality paint done on a motorcycle I built. Cost $7500

That makes me feel better about spending $600 for my ZRX after a crash

Remind me to never park beside you at an Entegra rally and pain you with my Topaz motorhome; oh wait, you won't be there...you don't even OWN an Entegra.
