Smile 44B Anthem Delivering Today

Like many we've been lurking in the shadows. During that time we've taken in all of the wisdom that the Entegra Forum has to offer to all wanna be, current and future Entegra owners. We've learned so much and thank you to everyone for all your comments. What a terrific resource.

Well today is a big day for us. We're taking delivery on a new 2014 44B Anthem. I know some have been requesting information on the 44B Anthem. We hope we can help.

Briefly, here's our story:

Last December we put a deposit down on a 2014 42RBQ. While we were happy to order an Entegra, at the time we felt a bit limited in what Entegra had to offer in floorplans. We wanted a bath and half and 42RBQ was it in the Anthem series and a Cornerstone was not in the budget. A short time after placing our order it came to our attention that the 44B series was being designed. Not wanting to suffer from a bad case of buyers remorse we asked Entegra to tell us more. After reviewing, we were ecstatic. The floorplan fully met our needs. At that point we opted to cancel our 42RBQ and instead wait for the newly designed 44B. Problem was no one was sure exactly when the 44B was going to come off the line. We waited patiently. Ok..... At least until the last week or so when there was an unexpected paperwork delay at the factory. But Nate and Tadd came through and our baby arrived at the dealership in Grand Rapids this past Wednesday. Thanks Guys!

The coach is magnificent and we couldn't be more excited. There are a few 2014 rolling changes as already noted by others. These are the biggest changes.

#1. We have the Bose sound system (like it) plus this coach also came with a larger 50" main TV. My opinion when it comes to TV's is that bigger is always better.
#2. Exterior entertainment system. It now houses a 40" Samsung TV vs. the previous 32" RV. Also, the radio changed too. It's now a touchscreen plus the speakers were changed from 6 1/2" rounds to what appear to be about 4"x10" elongated speakers. The narrower speakers seemingly make room for the larger TV. (That's good x2 now)
#3. The best feature of all is what is now basically a full wall slide on the PS. I know this has been discussed by others but once you see it you really come to appreciate what they've done. Only about 8" of the sidewall is fixed between the two PS slides. Better yet, once you run out the PS slides it opens everything up so you no longer have that "narrowed" passage found in all non full wall slide coaches. Kudos to the Engineering Team in Middlebury.

We're thrilled to get our new baby and all things being equal we're heading up to Hearthside tomorrow...... albeit about a week later than we would have liked.

Thank you to everyone for your comments over the previous months and we'll do our best to get some pics posted later tonight so all can see how the changes look.

Congratulations! It sounds like the wait was worth it. It most likely saved you a lot of money because whenever you buy a coach that is "almost perfect but not quite" you can expect that you will be buying another one.

44B

I look forward to pics also, I'm interested in the Anthem 44B. There are several pics of the Aspire 44B but none I've seen of the Anthem. I got an email from RVOne and they are showing an Aspire44B at the Heshey PA show vs the Anthem.

Congrats on your new baby. This model looks very close to something my DH and I would be interested in. I've looked at pictures of the Aspire 44B. Could you tell me if there is a computer center for laptop and printer and where it is located? What size bed does the sofa make out to? We like to have occasional guests!

Congratulations!!!!!! Your long wait is over. Has to be a relief. You said you picked up your coach in Grand Rapids, I'm assuming Terrytown. We ordered our coach through them also. We would be interested in hearing of your experience with that dealership and picking up your coach so we would know what to expect when ours comes in November. Thanks for sharing.

The days must be dragging! When did you order your 44B? Trying to get an estimate on how long it takes to get delivery. Should be decide to trade our Monaco.

Thanks,

Debbie

We ordered ours around the end of July. At first we were ordering for a April delivery and then the dealer said that he got notice that Entegra could have an Anthem 44B for the dealer in November so we put our name on it. We were hoping to be able to use our old coach for the rest of the season but the hot season for coaches in Minnesota is August and September so we had to wholesale it sooner than we wanted to a local Winnebago dealer to get a better price. Terrytown didn't really want a 2006 Winnebago and low balled us on the trade. So we are 'coachless'. Got ten grand more from the local dealer still not enough to cover the loan, but that's another lament. So yes we are waiting, anticipating, and preparing. We just lined up a new seasonal site for next year that is truly big rig friendly which is hard to find in Minnesota. Too damn many trees and the park owners don't know enough to trim them. They don't get it that the baby boomers are retiring and they are buying motorhomes, big motorhomes.

Thanks for the info. Look forward to hearing from you once you take delivery.
