The problem was diagnosed as a bad slide motor.....will get it repaired, once I get back to Florida. For now, we just have a smaller than normal bedroom...
I'm having bigger problems now with an SPN 1569 FMI 31 Engine fault.... Ever tried to drive a derated coach over the mountains?? Runs fine on the lever, but when you need the power, it's not there when derated...

Was the check engine light yellow or red when it derated? How many miles before it derated? You can tell by the questions I am going to take it seriously. Sure sorry it happened to you.
Glad the problem was found. at least that slide motor is the easiest one to change.

The check engine light was yellow, when it derated. I've had a couple other check engine lights, on this trip, but they have all cleared after a restart and they weren't derate lights. After looking up the code, we decided to continue on to our CG in Phoenix. Once I got to the CG, I turned off the engine for about 5 minutes. When I restarted the engine, I got both the yellow and RED stop engine lights. I drove it 100 yards to my camp site and both lights cleared. Of course, during all this time, all other gages were normal and engine & trans temps were running within normal ranges.

If the engine codes have cleared. The shop can pull a computer image showing the last 25 hours of operation. Industrial Power, a cummins and spartan authorized service, just did this on my Engine when troubleshooting a faulty scr sensor that was intermitten

OK....here's quick update.
I didn't realize it, but the engine in my 2012 is still under Cummings warranty, so I called and had a Cummings Mobile Mechanic come to me; rather than drive to them. But, to be honest, they recommended I not drive the coach until they looked at it. They didn't want me stranded half way to their location.
After connecting to the ECM and pulling all of the faults, he isolated my issue as a bad NOx exhaust exit sensor. Relatively easy to get to and he had it changed in about 20 minutes. While checking the ECM, he noted that I was 25 updates behind, so he flashed the ECM with the latest updates.
I have to give a shout out to Cummings Rocky Mountain in Phoenix. They were fantastic to deal with. I called them Friday and explained my issue. They scheduled and had a truck at my motorhome by noon today (Monday). Tech worked on the coach about 90 minutes, including the flash of the ECM. If you're in Phoenix and need engine service, I would recommend them.
I'm off to El Paso in the morning, so I'm hoping for an error free (fault free) trip.
A little humor: After OctoberFest in Vegas, we pulled out of the campground and proceeded to hook up our tow car. After going through the hook up check list and checking that all lights worked, we jumped in the coach and headed to Phoenix. When we got to the campground in Phoenix, I walked back to the tow car and it was RUNNING! When we put the transfer case in neutral, we forgot to turn off the engine. Didn't hurt anything, but it was the best fuel mileage the Jeep has ever gotten. Guess what got added to the checklist?
Cheers....

Great explanation, thank you. To piggy back off the number of ECM upgrades.....they are important if they have not been done. My Engine at 1.5 years old was lacking 13 ECM updates which caused several bogus check engine lights, poor fuel mileage and a small loss of power. After that experience, It is on my annual list to call Cummins and check for updates. They are free for 5 years and only $99. there after. At least that's what it was when I owned the TS.
Talking with the Cummins tech, he explained to me, that there are so many sensors that have to talk to each other now that it is important to have the updates done once a year. As Cummins learns quirks from other break downs, they update the software. Our engines need to be rebooted once in awhile, just like our 12v electrical system inside the coach.
