ACC/CMS fault

Had them on my last company commercial tractor before I retired. At least they were the first versions of them. My friends tell me they are more prevalent and invasive now. The response I got from the trainers was if the alarms are going off I’m driving too close and or driving in an unsafe manner. Not reacting to hazards soon enough ! “Change my driving to meet the standards “
Good to know if I buy a new rig I can find the same thing I thought I left behind when I retired…. Not…

One thing I like about mine is that when I approach from the rear, the ACC tells me what the speed of the approachee is. From that, I make my passing/following plan. I do think that the programed following distance is too far, but simple pressure on the pedal obviates that when necessary.
