If this service was performed by an authorized Samsung tech you should have some type of warranty. If it were me I would be talking to Samsung about the issue. The cost to repair my icemaker was almost a third the cost of a new refrigerator.

As you may know there is pending litigation against Samsung French Door refrigerator specifically targeting the performance of the icemaker. This may give you some leverage to get that tech back out to see what going on.

Just my thoughts!

Every two weeks is way too often. When Samsung serviced mine they first checked for error codes, then ended up replacing literally every part involved with the ice maker and dispenser and sealed the ice room, took about 3 hours as I recall. The service bulletin Ray referenced is a good guide of some of what to look for (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...ovfT7sJvs2qzW_). Keeping warmer air from the fridge out of the ice maker compartment is critical. If your tech didn't seal the compartment they didn't do a proper service.

In regard to defrosting, I still need to defrost about every six months and have found there is usually a lot of ice buildup above and behind the auger motor assembly (which blocks the fan) and if all of it is not removed it will more quickly revert to poor operation. I defrost with a steamer until I can remove the ice maker, then defrost some more until I can remove the auger assembly to make sure all the ice is gone and the drain is clear. It can take quite a while to get all the ice melted. If you're using a hair dryer to defrost, the plastic parts can be deformed beyond repair.
