Adding air to inner drive wheels
I am installing a tp monitoring system on the new coach and am in the process of adjusting the tp on all the tires. For some strange reason I am unable to add air to the inner dual drive wheels on either side. I am able to adjust all the other tp without a problem. I think I recall a thread about this a few years ago but can't find it. Anybody have any ideas.

I think that there are extensions on the valve stems and they might be too loose to allow the air to pass through. You maybe need to tighten them, I think it's a 3/8 or 5/16 wrench that you will need. Check them by testing whether you can let air out of the stem. If you can let air out, you can get it in. Hope this helps.

They do have extensions - at least mine do. I was unscrewing the TP monitor from one, to reinstall with some dielectric grease, and it unscrewed at the extension rather than at the widget. I just cranked it back on and went forward.

I have the same problem with my TST TPMS system (otherwise an excellent system) and use the flow through caps on all 6 tires. After adding extensions to the inner duals, the flow through caps won't let me add or release air, however they do provide the pressure readings to the monitor. I just remove the caps for these two tires to add air. I know this defeats the purpose of the flow throughs. Next time I will not use the flow throughs on inner duals.

Mine is the same John. It seems the inner dual extension that Spartan uses does not like TP monitors.

Adding air to inner drive wheels
Changed to Borg dually stems to solve that problem. However do have a different problem now. When I remove sensor the valve is stuck open and releases air until I can push it a couple of times. Only happens on one valve stem.

Had the same issue on both of my inner tires - the extensions are the problem - very poor parts. Found some that looked better at a truck stop - one worked fine but one leaked. Running the tpms without one on that wheel until I get an occasion to install the dually valve stems on the inners. Had them on my Monaco and really don't know why Spartan didn't use them in the first place.

Problem solved. I decided to use a different air chuck and it worked fine. I guess the other chuck didn't extend into the air valve far enough.

I had the same problem with the inners. Changed the extensions and then had problems with tem reading correctly. I called them up and told them that I was unhappy with them and if I had to remove the caps to add air I would rather have the caps where I just need a tool to remove them instead of the flow thru that takes an Alan wrench. They had me send them back and they sent me new screw on sensors. Have not had a problem since and they have actually saved me 2 tires on the trailer.

Inner tires are much easier to put air in with a long, straight chuck like most truck tire shops use. It is not angled at all and goes straight onto the valve stem, that type gauge is also easier to check pressure with. All JMHO
