Adding Inflatable Lumbar Support
At Summerfest, I heard about someone who added an inflatable lumbar support in the driver's seat of an Anthem or an Aspire, which it badly needs IMHO. I would like to do the same but would like to hear from the guy who did it for some direction. So whoever you are, please speak up!

I find the seat very comfortable, in fact, almost too comfortable. Now I place the seat in a more upright position. I was getting too comfy and relaxed with it reclined. Its like sitting in a custom lazy boy and driving down the road.

Hi Marc,
I am the person at SummerFest with the bladders. I installed the inflatable bladders like the one in your picture that I purchased at Relax the Back. There are four bolts that hold the back of the seat onto the base. Remove them and lay the back on the seat. Install the bladder where you want it and reinstall. Sure makes a difference.

Thanks for your reply, Mucho.
Found the bolts, now I have some questions:
When you remove the bolts do you have to hold onto the nuts, or are they attached to the frame?
Do you have to remove the seat cover or do you just slide the lumbar support up inside it? Did you attach it inside or did it stay there by itself? Any trick to getting the seat back together?
Thanks for your advice.

Hi Marc,
Details become fuzzy over time but I think the nuts are welded to the frame and you just remove the bolts. If not, access to them was easy cause I do not remember any snag. Once the back of the seat is laying on the seat you slide the bladder under the leather, don't remember if there was a thin layer of foam or not but I think there is and I placed it behind the thin layer of foam. This is important, sit in the seat and decide where you want the bladder to give you the best support before you take it apart. Do the passenger's side first for experiment, the second one will be perfect for you. You do not need to remove the seat cover, I did not attach it inside and they have not moved. To reinstall the back onto the seat it helps to have someone guide you and then hold it till you get two bolts back in for support, then you just install the remaining bolts and make sure the seat sits where you want it before tightening the bolts. I remember the zippers being time consuming. Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you for this post and the detailed answer. I have bookmarked so it will not be lost. Another thing I would never have thought of. Thank you!
