Adding Water Directly into the Fresh Water Tank
I tried adding water with a funnel directly into the freshwater tank today in preparation for sanitizing and could not, it just drippled down the side of the tank. Is there something I missing? (2021 Anthem)

Use a funnel with flexible line that fits in tank then hold funnel upright while putting water in.

It should be as cut and dry as putting the hose in and letting it go, we have seen on occasion that when the black carpeted board is reinstalled the hose maybe cut too long or need some modification. If you unscrew the black surround from the board and pull it out straight this may become evident that that is the case. Also if your looking for an easy way to sanitize and don’t have time for the repair yet, you can dump the bleach straight down your garden hose, then hook it up to you tank fill, this will get the beach in the tank the same way and is how we sanitize coaches that don’t have the other fill tube.
Thanks,
Justin

It’s been awhile but mine dribbled down the side of the tank much like you described. The black fitting is actually molded in two pieces that snap together. Mine was not snapped together and the water never reached the tank. I believe I had to remove the carpeted panel to completely remove the fitting and reassemble it. As I was putting everthing back together I seem to recall that I might have been able to completely remove the fitting by merely unscrewing the fitting from the panel and pulling it out to access the hose clamp, unscrew it and then remove the fitting. Might be worth a try.

The fill hose on my Anthem was too long behind the carpeted panel, and actually curved upward. Water would not flow uphill. Remove the 3 screws holding the fitting onto the carpet and check that the hose is flowing down. I'll bet it's too long and has an upward bend.

Thanks, that was the problem. You would think they would know better. Thanks to all for responding.
