air bed to big for base???

we have a select comfort air bed in our 2012 42RBQ.. I've noticed that the bed over hangs the foot of the wood base... a problem in that the "frame" part of the bed is not supported by the base and is noticably starting to sag over the end.... those of you who have this air bed, does yours hang over the end of the base?

We have roughly an inch of overhang on end. Slightly more than the area taken up by the cording on the mattress. Not enough to affect support.

Just checked ours. When the mattress is pushed completely towards the headboard, it only hangs over about 2, maybe 3 inches.

Ours is less than 2 inches, no way that can be a problem, in my humble opinion.
