Air compressor (booster)

I decided to add a booster compressor to our Anthem to make inflating tires easier, I also still carry a couple air tools. The system maintains 175 PSI making it easy to bring the front tires to the proper pressure.

The pump is a 12 volt Ready-air that I have owned many years. I did spend $100 and purchase a new aluminum air tank to reduce weight.

The compressor:

And with softener:

Hose reel:

Air tank mounted between frame rails next where extra floor tiles were stored.

I like your compressor setup. I couldn't find one on the net.

Thanks Dave, you won't find a Readyair compressor any longer, mine is 8 years old and they are no longer in business. It's a nice pump and is even two stage but I also have used several Viair compressors which are probably just as good. The Viair 480C in this pic has been on four or five different offroad vehicles powering air ride systems, it is rated for 200 PSI and has a 100% duty cycle.

BTW- here is how I connected the OEM air system to my boosted tank. The black line that is connected to the left side of the tee is the factory OEM line unsnapped from the quick connect. Special note that there is a check valve where the blue tubing connects to the air tank which prevents my system from back feeding into the coach system (due to it being higher pressure). The quick connect in the pic is in case of tow needing to pressure the coach (same as the standard connection that is included). I also carry a small regulator so if needed I could feed 120 psi air back into the oem system.
