AIR (formerly PDI) checklist

Does anyone have a copy of the checklist Entegra uses for the AIR at the factory? We're thinking that rather than spend several thousand dollars to go there, it would be cheaper to pay a quality dealer to do the checking. Thoughts?

We just had our 3 year AIR in April. What about any problems that are found that require parts. Entegra may not have the parts, the dealer definitely won’t.

Our problem is that we have a narrow window of time between required medical treatments. Entegra is willing to shuffle things and could jam us in on July 8. That means trying to cross the country over the week of the 4th - we're having a fun time trying to locate places to stay. Unfortunately I am not retired, and would have to work my way back. The whole thing is getting so messy, we thought to try to get it all done at NIRVC. They have some warranty work they need to complete for us anyway, and we have some paint damage we want fixed. So, if we need to, we can leave it in Phoenix and drive home in the Jeep, coming back when it is all pretty again. We're hoping to get the same list of things to check that Entegra uses; even if it costs us $900 in labor we're several thousand ahead.

If you can leave it (if necessary) that sounds like a good plan. July 4th week is not a good time to travel unless you have reservations. This is from 2017 but it’s still pretty complete

My 2019 AIR version is in my maintenance binder on the coach; we’re home right now so I won’t be able to cross check the forms for a few days.

Thanks, Bill. I just read the list. It says it's 4 pages but contains only three. Is there anything important on the last page? <g>

So far, Jean and I can inspect all that, taking our time, and just have a list of Things To Fix.

I hadn’t noticed before that the May 2017 email from Entegra only included 3 pages. I don’t have any other pages, but later this week I’ll go to the coach and look at the 2019 form they used in April and let you know if there’s a page 4.

I’d leave it in Phoenix, you could always airline back and forth for less than the cost of fuel in the Jeep. Plus, you could avoid another evolution on I-10.

To quote TXBart, if you want a coach in a hurry, they is normally how it is delivered. I would elect for the best source that time is taken to do it right. Too bad there is not a Shipshewana in Phoenix

I was told 2500 bucks for this full inspection at Phoenix nirvc.. and then you pay for all the repairs they find on top of that ... west coast to Indiana is a Tank and a half of fuel each way .. 4 days travel time total and that’s taking your time.. a few days in
Middlebury.. owners class .. a few factory tours and you know the repairs are handled correctly....

For me, it's just over 2300 miles each way. At the usual 7.5 mpg, that's about 290 gallons each way, or over $1000 in fuel. So, yes, over $2000 for fuel, plus campgrounds. And vacation time. I've been to Middlebury, and I've toured the factory. I do agree that the service there is excellent. It's just that we cannot afford to do that now, and later this year, when we planned on it, they have already given out all the spaces.

If NIRVC is charging $2500 for an AIR they must be doing a lot more than Entegra does or they don't know what an AIR actually encompasses. The AIR at Entegra is completed in half a day or less.

Our most recent AIR at Entegra, April 29, totaled $850 and that included replacing the fireplace.

I think the plan to go to NIRVC is a good idea, but the price they charge must be reasonable.

NIRVC charges $2500 for a coach sales inspection and takes 2-3 days. No idea if it’s the same as an AIR. Any repairs are in addition to that cost.

Hi, Bill. Did you happen to check your coach for the full AIR form this past weekend?

Thanks,
dg
