Air horn line

You folks know how the plastic air line is removed from the air horn on a 16 unit? Thanks.

If it is the same as a Classic, it just pulls off. It's a barbed connection so it is a little tight.

If there is no nut, than it must be a push connector. There is a ring around the outside edge push it in and that will release the connection. To reconnect simply push it back in.

As I recall, if you push the air line in, and then use your figernail or a tiny screwdriver to pull back on the retainer the air line removes easily.

Chuck, they still look like the one in the picture by Hawgguy, I will try pushing in on the line and push on the ring on inside. We will see.

In reference to Bob's (Hawgguy) previous thread on replacing the cheesy OEM air horms, I was wondering what further experience would suggest.

I am wondering why Bob (Hawgguy) and others mounted their new horns facing down on the fire wall. Was it just because you didnt then need to mess with the air line. Wouldnt it be much better to extend the air line (since you have to fool with connections anyhow) and mount the dual Hadley horns facing forward, and relatively in the clear, and facing forward?

Gary

Gary, I have talked to a couple that have "T" into the air line and mounted duel horns on the entry step box. I have the horns, just haven't had time to see if it will work.
