Air hose

How long is the air hose you travel with? I can see a couple of 25' lengths may be better than a single long hose.

Yep one 50' nylon reinforced instead of rubber. A lot more compact.

I carry a 50' and one of these to inflate my tires.
Scroll down for the video on inflating high pressure tires.

Vance I carried a 25 ft coiled hose in my 38 ft and it barely reached passing it through the basement. I don't think it will make it on the 43 foot.

I carry two cheap 25' coiled hoses. They work fine and can reach anywhere.

What size air hose, 1/4 or 3/8 , does most everyone have? I have 3/8 and when I went to Loews to get fittings they had mostly 1/4 inch. Want to make that setup for filling tires with the gauge built in but what wasn't sure if I stepped down to 1/4 if it would it take that much longer to fill. Does it really make a difference?

I do that too. I use the onboard air most of the time but drag out the portable when I need to run the front tires up to 125 psi. Use the same hoses with both.

2 hoses, 1- 1/4" 50 foot nylon & I put it on a plastic electrical reel. 1- 25' coil hose for easy use if I just need some air near the compressor. I use a portable air compressor that I just keep in my basement tool compartment, no need to remove it. I tried using the on board air & just couldn't justify the time or the hassle of trying to keep the air up in the system.

My portable gets quite warm in operation so I usually pull it out to use it. Afraid of the heat if I use it in the basement.
