Air suspension

Just realized I have another problem. Moved the coach from the house to our storage shed and apparently the air ride never filled up. The coach was bouncing all over everywhere.

No idiot lights or warning alarms. What's up?

Thanks

That’s the retract button. It closes the valve that fills the air bags, but sometimes it fails to activate and a second retract cycle is needed to fix it.

Sounds like the vent solenoid did not close or seal when the jacks were retracted the last time thus allowing the air PSI to escape.

Try cycling the jacks with auto-level and let it finish leveling. You should hear it dump the air from the front and rear. Start the engine and set it on fast idle with the cruise (cruise power on and hit cruise set). Let the air pressure build up until you hear the air pressure limit vent (loud hiss from outside). Make sure air is fully up in front and rear gauges. Leave engine running on fast idle.

Now press "all retract". The system pressure must be up and high when the vent solenoids close so that the suspension will fully fill to the proper ride height. Do not retract the jacks with the engine off and air pressure down.

It is a good habit to get into turning the auto level power on and pressing "all retract" each time you start, even if the jacks were already stored. If the coach sits a bit the jacks will move slightly and need to be "all retracted" to turn out the warning lights and buzzer and make sure the vent solenoids are closed. I do this each start after the engine is running and good air pressure shows on the dash gauges.

Improper airing up will cause that problem.

Air up to 130 PSI, retract jacks.

Air up to 130 PSI again, retract slides

Air up to 130 PSI again, do walk around and check the coach is at ride height, at least 2 inches above front tire. IF not do as others have said by closing the valve again.

The master dump valve (located behind the generator) has an internal shuttle valve which is moved by air pressure. This is why you need near full pressure built up on your dash gauges prior to retracting the jacks to ensure that shuttle valve moves to its proper position to inflate the air suspension.

You can speak up airing up the suspension by bringing the engine to high idle. To do so, start the engine, foot off of the brake, turn on the Cruise control, and depress the SET button. Your RPMs should increase to approximately 1000 RPMs.

You may press and hold SET to increase RPMs even further.

To cancel you depress the brake pedal, or press Cancel on the cruise control, or turn off the cruise control.

If I auto level, it airs up fairly quickly. If I drain all of the air from the system, it takes quite a while to build air, even at high idle.

Had the exact same issue a few days ago. Called Entegra, they had me hit retract all again on jacks and that did it!

We just completed a 3,700 mile trip. On my "aired up" walk around I notice the coach was not sitting above the tires at one stop. Hit the retract button again and all was fine. It does happen..... it did on my older Equalizer system (2002) as it got older it was more often. The aired up walk around is a must with these dump valves.
