Airing Down Procedures and Tag Pressures

Boy, the First Step into my 2016 Aspire 42DEQ is a killer. What are the newest procedures to air down (since unlike my former Ambassador, there is no Air Dump valve)? My levelers are Equalizers. And does it harm the air bags if parked in the fully deflated mode? Also, if weighing the coach, aren't the tag axle air bags always deflated when under 15 mph? How do you properly weigh the entire coach? Drive over the scales over 25mph, perhaps...
Thanks, again, guys...

Pete,

Park, center steering wheel, deploy slides, level coach which will dump air bags. No harm to the air bags if fully deflated. The tag axle will dump automatically in reverse which will take about 1/3 of the weight off the tag otherwise if you want to manually dump it you have to use the tag dump switch. There is no automatic dumping under 15 mph.

Previous posters are right.

Make sure the front wheels are straight ahead before starting to level.
The new Equalizer program greatly increased the air bleed-off time for the rear bags, but my experience is that it still may not be enough. What I do is to go back to what I did even before I had the newest controller put in..... and that is to let the coach settle and start to "level" and the stop the process and start retracting the "jacks" and then stop and start to level again. If you stand outside, you will hear that there is still a good deal of air escaping the system as it goes through the bleed down process a second. I have found that my rear bags are almost more full than they need to be when the leveling process is done and I can raise the rear jacks slightly and then raise the front jacks the same amount, and still be level. If you are outside during the process, you can really hear what is going on.

Everything you have been told is exactly right.

Gary

I don't know if it's included with the newer models, but the "classics" had a hard card stock in the bag of books that is a parking and departure check list. The size is designed to fit in the front console drawer. Worked great for me learning the new system.
