Alarm problems on 2016 Anthem

Took delivery of ou 2016 Anthem last month. The security system has went off 5 times the last 36 hours. It must have some sort of "short". The alarm sounds for about 5 minutes and I can't reset it. I wasn't able to find any documentation in the information NIRVC gave me. I called Entegra yesterday and I adjusted the 2 glass breakage sensors but the alarm goes off (even when it's not on). Couldn't locate any fuse to disable the alarm until I can get some technical help on Monday. Any suggestions?

Try resetting the 12V salesman switch by the door. I had something similar happen a few months ago.

Mark I thinking there is an alarm on the drivers seat if it’s not in the right position for driving it will sound a alarm but you didn’t say anything about driving. So that’s not much help.

Are you sure it’s the alarm for the coach and not the CO2 detector? The CO2 alarm is super loud and will wake the dead.

The CO2 detector is notorious for failing after a couple years. I have replaced mine twice. It will also go off for low battery. Cleaning products, hair spray etc will also cause it to go off.

As others have mentioned, is the alarm inside or out? CO2 detector on my 14 lasted 18 months.

What does the security alarm and/CO2 alarms sound like?
Reason for asking, I had an alarm that went off 2AM.
It came from the dash area. The best I can describe it is like this; if you remember the 1950’s sci-fci movie, THEM!, the alarm reminded of the sound that the giant ants made.

The fuse to disable the alarm is in the compartment under the drivers side window.
It’s clearly marked and toward the bottom.. ( at least on a 14 anthem)

2016 Anthem alarm

Thanks to all who replied. You all are a big help and great resource for new owners. I will check the fuse under the drivers window and pull it if the alarm continues to sound. I haven’t located the CO2 alarm’s location yet, where is it located? Thanks again. I

If you have a B floorplan, it is down by the refrigerator. The fuse in ours is in the drivers side first compartment. Pull the fuse and go to Lowe’s and buy a portable CO detector. This is a known problem. Click image for larger version

And the sound is so loud, you really can't tell where it is coming from!

Tom, ours acted up about a year ago and I removed it, blew it out using about 20lbs of air pressure, re-installed and it's been fine ever since. Just a thought !

Welcome to the forum Mark, hope we can help you with your new coach as you get familiar with it. It would help others to be able to help you if we knew the year and model of the coach in question. Every year and models are different. Easy to do with filling out a signature line.

Use Lynn's photo for identification, look mid coach close to the floor. It is 2 screw and a plug to replace it or disconnect it in the middle of the night. Pulling the fuse is easier but hard to find in the middle of the night.
