Better than a trip to see the Egyptian Pyramids IMHO.

Yes, a mining degree was paramount in my wanting to go there. But even my wife loved it! We were going to skip Dawson City, but the old gold fever caught hold of me and I just HAD to go see it in person. We even found some claims from 1898 that the uncle of an Aussie friend of ours staked, drove out to the vally where they were and got some pics for her. Talk about excited...yes, we blew her away. Fun trip....

Believe it or not...there is still a LOT of gold in those valleys and a lot of currently active mines working them.
