Another A/C question

Last week my rear AC compressor would not come on. So, I replaced the start and the run capacitor. Both replacement caps have the correct factory specified values. And, the compressor started up, and the AC is blowing cold air.

When the compressor is running, there is about a 25 degree difference between inlet and outlet temps. That is consistent for all three ACs. But when the rear AC compressor turns off the fan continues to run and blow cold air. However, there is only a 10 degree difference between inlet and outlet temps. And it runs a long time, maybe 15 minutes or more. Both front ACs turn off within a minute or so after the compressor shuts off.

It's almost as if the compressor had two speeds depending on demand. Any idea what would cause the AC to act like this?

I suspect that is part of the freeze protect system and that the freeze sensor detected freezing, and in doing so the fan continues to run until the evaporator coil no longer has ice on it (which is why the air was still cooler exiting the a/c). If it continues to do so, I would check that the filters are clean and that the air divider under the cover is in place and not allowing cold air to enter the intake directly, I would look for any air restrictions as well. ~Craig
