Anthem 44B - thoughts?

My DH and I are thinking about making the jump to an Anthem 44B instead of adding things to our Excursion. We drove an Anthem today and wow ... what a difference. Entegra owners .. are you happy with your purchase? Most importantly - would you purchase an Entegra again? Thanks in advance for your responses. Lynn

Lynn,

We are extremely happy with our Anthem and would buy another Entegra if we were to get in the market for a new MH.

Yes, Kathy and I would purchase and Entegra again, and many on this forum have purchased a second Entegra Coach.

I believe we honestly bought our last coach first. Yes we are very happy with our Anthem.

If we do this - it will be our last coach. We should have followed the saying "buy your 3rd coach first"! This would be our third!

Our new Anthem is our second Entegra.. Loved it so much.. We bought a bigger one! We had a 2007 Fleetwood Southwind(class A, gas), a 2009 (Entegra) Jayco Insignia ( class A diesel) and now an Entegra Anthem(42 DEQ)!! The Anthem Rocks!!

Looks like we are going to bite the bullet and order one. Dealer is saying Feb as a delivery date. We will plan on March. But, that's ok ... looking at going with the couch (not L-shaped) and the mobile eye. Boardwalk interior and Midnight Illusion exterior.

I'm not too sure about driving a 45 foot rig ... ours is 37 ft now ... but I guess we will figure it out and the Anthem we test drove seemed a lot more stable than our Excursion. Probably due to the weight and the tag.

The 44B sure does seem to have it all and be an excellent floor plan. Cozy, but yet open, two baths, TV in the right place, fireplace, all electric, dishwasher ....

You'll enjoy an Anthem. We have an SL, Boardwalk interior and Midnight Illusion paint. We went from a 36 foot, and found some adjustment was needed in driving behavior, but a few months later, I'm super comfortable. I always have a super smile while driving.

We've got an SL with Midnight Illusion also. It is indeed a dream to drive.

In our test drive the Mobile Eye drove us nus so we didn't order it - FWIW.

How does the mobile eye work that it drove you nuts? .. we have a BMW with the lane warning system and love it ... doesn't it work the same way? If not, maybe I will rethink the mobile eye .... thanks for the info.

I'm also thinking about adding the traveler satellite dish in place of the dome. Any thoughts on that?

If you don't plan on using the dish while in motion, for sure order the Trav'ler dish. Better reception in less than ideal situations and it allows you to receive HD channels with Directv. I replaced our dome with the Trav'ler which was pretty easy, or the other option is to order the dome and add the Trav'ler so you have both.
