JJ, is it the one with the push buttons on the left side as you face it? I did not know it was electric and now also in the Aspire.

Ah haa. The toilet must not line up with the black tank hole thus the need for the macerator toilet. The new ones on the Anthem that do line up with the black tank have a push button on the side and to the best of my knowledge are not electric.

For the 2015 model year, the Aspire has a 16000 lb. front axle.

I believe that's a 1400 lb increase. Are they changing the tire size or what?

Actually the toilet dump slide valve does have an electric motor (at least mine does) that actuates it, and of course electric solenoid/programable water level control.
I think it should have less risk of failure compared to macerator pump but for me a foot pedal operated powerless stool would be the most reliable, JMHO.

I have enjoyed this post. We ordered our Anthem after spending 2 days in a row of 7 Aspires. There wasn't an Anthem on the lot to look at. Outside of upgrades, I don't have a clue what is going to show up. I do know it has an IFS front end, all electric with AGM batteries, without a Norcold and that was a must for us, the rest is going to be enjoyable to see what it is. It sounds like I am going to be missing the spray hose for the toilets, darn, that was a nice feature.

I have electric toilet and radio controls on the steering wheel. (Also IFS and 315 front tires, but they are not standard.)

Key differences in my opinion

The key differences for me between the aspire and anthem were :

Independent front suspension

All electric

150 gal tank vs 100 gallon

Last 2 dp units I had were freightliner non ifs chassis, LP on board, and 100 gal fuel

Traded 2010 tiffin 40 phaeton last year for anthem

Fuel tank of 150 offers a lot more range than a 100 gallon tank.

Example--I do not like to go below 30 gallons left in tank. I also hate to fill up because it takes so much time in a truck stop!

When my low fuel light goes on ( I only let it get that far once by the way) I put 117 gallons in the entegra anthem tank. If I had the 100 gallon tank and the low fuel light went on at the same fuel level--I would have traveled the distance available using 67 gallons vs the distance traveled using 117 gallons with the 150 gallon tank. Assuming 7.5 mpg(a little lower than my actual average over 12k miles) the effective range of the aspire would be 502 miles vs effective range on the anthem of 877 miles.

Anyway--enspire is a great coach and a great value. Anthem just hit my sweet spot for the reasons above plus several other key (to me) points also. I remain very pleased with the anthem.

Another one is the tires. Goodyear on the Aspire...Michelin on the Anthem

... And air horns are on the roof of the Aspire and under the front cap on the Anthem.

The electric flush non macerator toilet became standard, at least on the DLQ, during the 2014 model year. Noel

One more item on the difference list.

The very first thing I noted as an upgrade on Anthem vs Aspire were the awnings. Starting with MY2013 the Girard awnings on the Anthem platform were changed to be the full length of the coach. They tie in perfectly with the raised front and rear caps on the Anthem and IMHO give the coach a very high end look. They help to hide the AC roof top units, vent pipes and satellite units from ground view and provide a generous amount of shade next to your coach. It's also worth mentioning that on MY2014 LED lights were incorporated into the awnings as well. They look great!
