Anthem Bed Slide Won't Retract

The bed slide on our Anthem 42 DEQ won't retract. All the others are fine. When you try the retract on the light panel for the Bed Side in the bedroom there is nothing in either the open or retract. The other slide works fine. The panel in the bathroom indicates a green light for that fuse when you press the retract button.

Is there a manual way to retract the slide?

The controllers for the slides are in the first compartment d/s. I had wire come off on a 14 Anthem. Also you can swap wiring to one of the other controllers if the controller is the problem.

As far as manual retracting you would have to disconnect the drive, push it in and reconnect the drive so brake in motor would hold the slide in. I would definitely check the controllers first.

Try turning off 12v power and see if it will reboot the switch system. The switches are located at the entrance door and the drivers console.

Okay, I have looked at the controllers in the DS Bay. When we try all of the slides, there is a click. The only one that doesn't;t register a light is the bed slide which is the problem slide.

I have re-set the 12V by shutting off the Battery connect at the door, waited a few minutes then turned it back on.

Still nothing from the naughty slide. the others are working fine.

Let me clarify. When I look at the controllers in the Bay. I try each of the slides that are working and there is a green light and a click and they start to work. When I look at the controller in the Bay and try the bad slide, there is a click but no green light and it doesn't;t work.

The motor shaft beneath the bed does not move. I have tried to move the shaft to release the pressure on the shear pins but to no avail.

Would it be safe to un-bolt the motor from the bed frame?

Switch the wires on the controller from one of the slides that does work then use that switch to retract the slide(ie switch the wires between the vanity slide controller and the bed slide controller then press the vanity slide retract button to retract bed slide)

DW here... sadly, the wires are EXACTLY as long as they need to be - don't reach to the other 3. Would you suggest a small jumper from a couple of small alligator clips?

First, thank you for all the assistance, and tolerance of newbie questions.

Are the controllers the black cubes on the board, and should they pull out?

Don't know if noticed but that green wire is disconnected from it's terminal. Perhaps you disconnected it chasing the problem.

I would pull and visually check that 40amp automotive style fuse that is on the bed slide corner of your control board. I believe that is on the retract side of your slide
