Anthem Gutter Extensions

Based on a discussion here I ordered a package of gutter extensions without even looking at my coach. It is finally home so I went out today armed with the box of extensions and a ladder only to discover my coach has gutter extensions already!

At least I have replacements when any fall off!

Vance,

If the gutter extensions are the same as on the 2013, they come out about 1/2". Not enough to print significant dripping on the side of the coach. Many of us have added the extensions that reach out about two inches. Maybe they have changed since 2013, but I don't recall seeing that on the 2014s in Tampa. May want to add yours anyway.

Yes, they are pretty short. Maybe I will replace the stock with the new ones and keep the old for replacement.

Thanks!

Vance, the extensions should snap on the the exiting factory gutters. I have a set I ordered also. If these are the ones you have, you'll see a small area at the top where they snap over the short factory gutters. Hope this helps. Amazon.com: Camco Mfg Inc 42123 Gutter Extensions Pack/4: Automotive

Don't take the old off and risk chipping the paint. The new ones snap right over/under the old.

One thing I did with my gutter extensions is I used the touch up paint provided with the rig and painted them to match the area where they are installed. Sand them first so the paint will stick. The extension conflicts with the awning on the Passenger side, so I used the old clothes pin trick. With the paint, one can hardly see it.

I also ordered the black ones, I used the picture of the white ones because they showed the channel better where they snapped onto the factory short gutter.
I originally bought the white ones at WalMart, and was going to paint them to match, then someone posted the black ones were available on Amazon so I ordered them. I think the black will be so close to the dark brown I don't think I will have to paint them. It's a good thing too, a can of automotive spray paint is now almost what a set of gutter extensions cost.

This is not a great picture but this is what i did. Took extra long gutter extensions, modified them to fit under the existing and painted to match.

Good picture of how they attach Corey. You are a good man taking the time to share the photo. And Gary as well, I though both photos were yours at first ,oops.

For those that have not installed the extension, they really help keeping the roof dirt from staining the sides of the motor home. They are easy to install, they just snap on and only cost about $7.00 for a set of four.

And how many of these bad boys does a person need? I don't have my coach here but could order some for when the weather breaks. is it one per slide or two?
