JME: Last year, our Samsung’s compressor went out on the day we left to Middlebury for our 2-year inspection appointment (lucky timing!). When we arrived, Entegra had discussions with the “dealer” whether the compressor was under warranty, etc...
I had researched, and told our advisor the published warranty was 10 years - parts and labor, so he contacted the factory, and their response was in our case, they would replace the entire refrigerator (not just the compressor). [The net has a number of threads confirming numerous problems with units in our date range…]
Entegra replaced our refrigerator (through the driver’s window), and did a great job. Interestingly, the new unit has the compressor warranty info prominently displayed on the right door. Also, although the model numbers are the same, our new unit has subtle differences from our old (broken) unit.
So far, so good - no problems, no weird noises (which our old unit had…) - we’re very satisfied with the new unit.
Again, I was amazed how quickly and efficiently the replacement process went - as always, kudos to the entire Entegra team that worked on our coach. Thanks,
