Anthem Wannabes
My wife and I currently own a 35' Redwood fifth wheel camper that we tow with a GMC 2500 HD. Over the past two years we have spent at least half the year on the road and thoroughly enjoy the lifestyle. We have a contract on the house and have decided we need to get into an Entegra Anthem. Our question to this group is that we seem torn between the 42DEQ and the 44B. Besides the obvious 2nd bath and the increased length, what input may current/previous owners to help in our decision?

Congrats on the contract on your house! We don't have a DEQ ...looked at them - but fell in love with a 44B. Yes, it is long, but I don't think you will notice a difference when driving. If you can, drive both of them ... sit in them both ... get to know them - then the right one for you will say "pick me"!
We are still very happy with our decision .... this isn't a RV - it is a home.

I think the second bath is nice if you have visitors / family stay with you.

I agree! Our FW Excursion only had one bath and the toilet quit on us 3 separate times. Very bad ... don't like to use campground facilities. Now if one does go down ... we have another!

The second bath is handy even if you do not have family visiting. We use both with the two of us.

Nice having the space of the large bathroom when you shower. Thought the double sinked split bathroom wouldn't work for us very well. We both don't share the bathroom at the same time.

It's all about what works for you. In our case we opted for the extra space in the iving room over the second bath. We love it but also understand why someone would prefer the other.

Take the 44 B. You'll love the half bath! Just the two of us and I love having my stuff in the half where I can find it! . Same for DW. We just looked at the 42's and the 44 B. Take the 44 B. Really nice coach, love to see the 500 Cummins in the Spartan chassis for the 44's!! maybe 2017? Me thinks Newmar MA will get Entegra's attention by adding the 500 Cummins along with Tiffin's new Allegro Bus with the FL chassis and 500!

42DEQ for us.....maximizes the sq. ft. In the Salon. Neither DW nor I spend so much time in the bath to warrant cramping the living space in the front of the coach.

It's going to come down to how you use the coach. We are 2 bath people and spend most of our time, when we travel outside of the coach. It's been a year and I still haven't connected the Sat system yet. However outside lights are another story. I think Lynn said it right.. when it shouts "pick me" you found the one that fits your needs.

We are very happy with our decision to purchase the 44B. DW has the rear bathroom vanity with plenty of countertop for her beauty aids and I have the 1/2 bath for my use. Works very well for both of us giving each his/her personal space. Would purchase the same floorplan again. It all comes down to personal choice. Hence, the many different floorplans.

Though we really like the extra living space of a DEQ, DW really likes the 44B.
One thing about the 44B that you will notice is that the half bath is really large.
Some other brands have smaller half baths and IF I am going to get relegated to the small bath, I have to fit! I know we would be happy in either.
Good luck in your quest.

Best feature on our 44B is the size of the half bath, it is huge and we love it. 😀 seriously we do love most of the B floor plan features but that half bath is a game changer for me. All JMHO 🚌🚗

Thanks to you all for your input. We will try to drive both, but are leaning towards the 44B.
