Anthem Water Leaks - Anthem Owners Only Please

Seems like there are many owners reporting leaks over the last year or so. Is this a mfg defect? A design flaw? Is it just a whole bunch of one offs that are the loud minority?

Anthem Owners Only PLEASE!!

Corey, as many know, I have experienced almost every problem ever posted on this forum, but I am thankful I have escaped the water leak problem.

I noticed on my short roof inspection, it looks like my roof has been double caulked. Did Entegra do some improvements when the MH was sent back to the factory.....that I don't know. Maybe it was the roof screw mod?

2014 Anthem 44B. Jan-Feb 2013 build date. Supposedly after factory discovered screw problems with caps (a.k.a the cap leak recall where they sent teams into field to repair).

Leak over driver's side shade. Somewhere above CB panel. Two attempted fixes with caulking repairs.

leak that dripped out the A/C vent behind driver and another inside wall behind passenger that corroded the connector on one of the light switch panels. All that was needed was some caulking. Guess they missed it at the factory.

We've had two leaks and both went away. (So far) They occurred only in driving - seriously driving - rain. Raining all day in Nashville - no leaks.

Just really lucky I guess.

See you in January I hope.

I was told by the tech that fixed that the wrong caulking was used in the door awning mount bolts. He corrected it, no problems since. This is a manufacturers defect.

My leaks were manufacturing process issues that have been corrected: Setup screws removed and holes not filled and a well-well meaning line guy that tried to reduce the amount of sealer/caulk used so designed and used an inefficient tool.

I put dry as a bone, but one time it was pouring in Atlanta and I was taking the coach over for service apt (routine service) and I gently closed the door. I did get a leak then but I don't consider that a leak but operator error. I find if I don't firmly shut it (not slam just a firm shut) then I'll get some wind noise and I assume leaks, although it's never happened again.

Wow!! The local Spartan dealer called.. ( awesome people) to say that after two repairs by them and two repairs by the dealer and 6 months of rain inside our coach( as per photos already posted).. an entry point was found! After removing the over the door awning AND the awning rail... A screw had been drilled THRU a seam and was not siliconed !!! Water sprayed over the entryway was wicking right inside! All that is left now is to adjust the door so that we can lock it! The key fobs set the alarm, lock the cargo doors but do NOT secure the passenger door! Two keys sent to us are not even "cut".. ( look ma.. No teeth)

2014 Anthem DLQ. WATER LEAKS, 3 of them. We purchased our coach in April, 2014. In December a driver from Entegra picked it up and returned it to the factory for repairs. I provided a list of approximately 33 items that needed correcting. There are 2 that are at the top of my list of "gotta get done". One is the third water weak, (we found and repaired the first two), and the 2nd is the right front suspension clearance.
Front suspension. On the front wheels there is 1-1/2" difference in clearance measuring from the top of the tire to the fenderwell above it, between the two front tires. When deflated the right side tie is in hard contact with the top of the fenderwell.
Has anyone else had this type of problem?????????
The coach has been back at the factory for one month at this writing (xmas holiday season) and I look forward to the repairs ALL being completed soon.
This is our first new coach and although there are many problems, we are happy to be owners of it. Entegra is doing whatever is necessary to correct the problems. Several of the components that failed worked perfectly on delivery, but became inoperative at a later date.

When did you take delivery of your coach.
