Who has had problems with the expansion tank for the antifreeze? Do you have a rusty tank and how did you find out it was rusty? What if anything have you done about it?

To check for rust, unscrew the cap on the expansion tank and look in the neck for rust. Spartan will replace it if you’re within the three year warranty. Can’t tell from your profile the year of your coach. You will need to contact Spartan CS and send them a photo. We had ours replaced in Las Vegas (under warranty). Ensure they either send the sensor that goes on the tank or specific instructions on how to remove it. The sensor is fragile and breaks easily.

I found out about the tank issue here on IRV2, I think it was on the Spartan forum. Just unscrew your cap and look at the neck, if you see rust, Spartan will replace the tank. I heard early on they were not sending the sensor and trying to use the existing one didn't work. When they sent mine to my Cummins dealer last year, it came with one. Make sure your dealer is aware of the sensor problem. You definitely want to get it replaced while in warranty.

Including the year of your coach will help others to help you. It will also help others of what year coach a problem was discovered on. If it's a new 19 we have a serious problem.
