You should be able to follow the discharge hose from the back of the washer to the drain pipe. Then as NOWSABEACHBUM said a few responses above, snake another hose into the drain giving you the means to get some water down there. This odor problem behind washers is pretty common and not just an Entegra issue. I know a few Tiffin owners that have experienced the same thing. ....and I was one of them.

Picked up coach a couple days ago, will have to take back in a couple of weeks for a window replacement. Just wanted to update on bath odor. As I said in previous post, Entegra replaced all 4 pop up vents and so far there has been no odor from the mid bath. So, here's hoping that's the fix. A BIG "thank you" to Entegra for sending Ted to Texas to get issue s resolved.

How do you replace the "pop up vent" behind the washer? Do you have to removed the washer to access it?

I don't see it

Where were the 4 pop up valves located? I don't believe there is one behind the washer, correct?

One below each sink and I think to get to the other you have to remove the bottom drawer next to the dishwasher.

We had one bad window the first year...now most of the flush windows that "open" need to be replaced due to fogging.

Well we have been here at the factory and they did a fix on our odor issues....the new spring loaded vents under each sink (there is not one behind the washer) then in the washer area they shortened the drain hose then put a putty ball there to seal that area and did some sealing in the compartment between the tank and floor area....Don Brubaker said they have made these changes in the factory line about 3 weeks ago....its a simple fix and I am sure they will be happy to help you make that change....We are now odor free!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!! no more smelling like a honey dipper truck!!!!

Penny

When you said they shortened the hose I remembered that on my Tiffin, the hose was too long also. It was so long that it extended down past the T trap thus defeating the purpose of the trap. I pulled it out, cut it shorter and reinserted. Poured water into the trap and the odor probs went away. Sealing it off with the putty ball is another great idea. Thanks for posting.

Ted with entegra said that the bath and 1/2 has 4 vents. He pointed to the area next to the washer. I am sending him an email for clarification as to where exactly the 4th vent is.

Was the bad window not quite flush all the way around? That's how mine appears which has lead to a lot of flapping from the bottom side. I mean three inches of flapping. I duct taped it around the outside because I was concerned the window was going to pop out. Do you have any idea why they are fogging?

They have to be leaking somewhere. Just seems to me to be poor quality of windows used.

Okay, if you have the rear bath there are two vents in the rear, one mid bath, one kitchen. If you have the one bath model there are two there and one in the kitchen. None at the washer.

The drain pipe from the washer is too long and blows the water out of the trap so they shortened ours and then put a plumbers putty ball to seal around the drain pipe...works great no more smell....they did that to our coach last Friday..and have been doing that on the line for the last 3 weeks....
