Any supposedly tire treatment or tireblack that is safe?

And if you find one that has scientific unbiased proof that non petroleum based dressing does and has contributed to “many” blowouts I will discontinue use and sound the horn far and wide to all users in regards to the proven hazard. Most all manufacturers warn against the use of petroleum based dressings and I only mentioned that I use a non-petroleum based product that also has UV inhibitors.
If you wanted replies that only included scientific data of proof I wish you would have included that in your original post. Just sayin.
I also use 303 protectant in areas and believe it’s a good product but did you get scientific proof before you started applying it to your tires?
Really not trying to be a S.A. but just trying to have you consider your last response which was rather strong after you asked for input and opinions.

Based on a recommendation from a tire guy, I use Griot's Rubber Cleaner first, followed by the 303 Protectant. He told me that the 303 won't bond well if the tire is dirty/greasy - thus the cleaner. The UV protection of the 303 is the most important part.

If I ran a reputable company, let's say like Mcguires, and I sold a product designed to be put on tires, and those tires suffered blowouts because of it, causing damage and maybe loss of life, I think I'd be pretty worried about the long term viability of my company.
Just a quick scan of the internet shows there are as many different opinions as you want, by so called experts. Nothing scientific but I'm wondering if the companies that sell the stuff have that research?

I always used 303 on my tires until I found this product (PERL) being applied at last year's Homecoming by the team selected by Entegra to perform coach detailing. Its distributed by Car Pro. Check it out. It last longer than 303, and IMHO looks better. It has no hydrocarbons that deteriorates rubber.

The guy who owns the GCR tire shop in Coburg, OR used to do all tire warranty for Monaco, Country Coach and Marathon. He recommended soap and water only, as many so called tire cleaners may dry out some of the oils inherent in your tire rubber. This causes cracking and possibly premature tire failure.

The guy who owns Pro Tire in Texas does the tire warranty for NIRVC and MHSRV. He told me essentially the same when he sold me my Michelin Coach Z steer tires for my Aspire.

In addition the Coburg guy also suggested not to use tire covers unless you leave the coach parked for months on end. And even then, make sure they are ventilated. The best thing for tires is to use them. Driving helps keep the natural oils in the rubber evenly distributed thereby making them last longer.

One additional anecdotal response from the chassis guru at Freightliner in Gafney. He suggested never to buy tires from a truck tire dealer unless he is experienced in RV work. Apparently truck only tire dealers have less stringent requirement for the slight out of round that any new tire may have. RV knowledgeable tire dealer will true them if they are out of round, trucks can live with 1/8” simply because they are so heavily loaded.

Wow, a very long response, not my usual style. But with COVID19 I have lots of time and so I’ll pass on what I learned from people I consider knowledgeable.
