There is no right or wrong. You buy what you like. That's what I did.

It sounds like the decision is made with your choice of floor plans. Once that statement is made by the DW because it love the American coach floor plan, it's over in my house However I will win when it comes to the chassis.

I came to the same conclusion when doing my research almost 4 years ago.

Chuck, I know exactly what id do..IF the American coach was Entegra.
Problem with hubby and I is that we desperately want great deals
He is also the one who can fall in love at first sight.
What makes me mad is that he loved the AC more than the Entegra in the beginning.....

I forgot to mention he did fall in love with a gasser...the georgetown XL but only the black diamond.
I think It's just a bit small to full time in I think...and it doesn't pull my beloved MKT, but if he really wanted it I would say ok.
Actually if he got ANYTHING I'd be happy! I just want to get out and go!!

Sooner or later you have to make a choice. If you keep looking for the perfect coach you will be looking forever.

I looked at both and went with AC this was in 2011.
Entegra didnt have any floor plans to offer me, they have come along ways since then.
My Tradition offered several goodies std at the time that Entegra didnt have. I have dual high out put dash heaters, larger dash AC BTU unit that is outside behind the front cap not buried under the dash when problems arise. Factory TPMS with the Silver Leaf System Std. The windshield is not held into the fiberglass cap with a rubber gasket, it is bonded to the metal frame like a car.
The lower part of the front cap ALL goes out with the gen on a PWR slide making it easy to access everything behind the front cap.
It came with Pwr Surge protection, the fuel and holding tanks have been moved to the rear of the Coach making sure no over loaded front axle.
I have Air and Hyd leveling std. 4800 watts Inverter power, Stuff like this made up my decision to go with AC, I have not been sorry. I do have the Spartan Chassis under mine as well.
I would also give Entegra another look when its time for a change if I do.
I do agree the isle is smaller then I would prefer with the slides in but mine is usable, when out its like a dance hall :-)
Have fun but get out there !
Eric

I think that's referred to as "paralysis by analysis".

American Coach
I.E. not sure if you mentioned if you drove any of these in your search yet.
We recently test drove a couple of Entegras in Tucson. Since the dealer carried both manufacturers, comparing was simplified. The AC we looked at was a Revolution.
Overall, we really liked the what AC have to offer. Lots of nice features. But this is where I had an issue, I didn't fit in the drivers seat. Net result, show stopper.
I am 230LBS at 6' 4". As the drivers side slide came in, I noticed the seat was forward just enough to clear the slide wall. Putting the seat back fully left me short on leg space. I know OP have commented on lack of foot room in Entegra but I was more than comfortable in the Aspire and Anthem behind the wheel and I've got big feet. Pretty sure it was not an issue with the chair. Just to be sure, I hope to give another look at AC in Tampa next year.
Good luck in your quest, we are a year or so behind you.
Tom

JR Consumer publishes a review of different Class A's by manufacturer and model and scores each one using a point system. We used it along with RV.org and otther sources when we were researching prior to purchase of our Anthem. Our research material is dated now and one would need to obtain more current information. Back in 2011 JR Consumer rated Fleetwood on the lower end of the above average class. Winnebago, gulf stream, itasca, mandalay, forest river and holiday rambler scored higher. Tiffin, newmar, American coach and a few others were ranked in the Premium class. Tiffin and Newmar ranked higher than Americn Coach in this class. Rv.org rated the 2010 Fleetwood Revolution overall at 3.5 out of a possible 5 while they rated the 2010 Entegra Coach Anthem at 4 out of 5. Again this was based on 2010 models and cannot really be assumed to be the same today.

I hit send too soon. I also meant to add that the Anthem scored ahead of the revolution 3.5 vs 3 in each of reliability and value and they both scored 5 out of 5 for highway control. Anyway good luck with your research.
