Anyone know how to make blinds roll straight?

The PS front blind has changed the way it rolls up and travels to the right when rolling up. Then when you roll it down, it catches and doesn't go down properly. Is there a trick to make them roll up straight? It has worked fine for three years. I have unrolled it and rolled it straight, but it goes out of alignment the next time it is used. Maybe a toothpick in the left end to make it larger?

Better check to see if some screws have loosed up, or fell out. My door shade started rolling up crooked, and the left side bracket was not attached (screws fell out), but it was wedged in a way it did not fall.

I had that happen on the P/S front shade. I loosened the mounting screws and pushed the shade back. There is a slot in the rear that the shade should be seated in.

Bob, if all else fails I can tell you how the pros do it. Unroll the shade and put two or three strips of tape about two ft. long, length wise, on the left side of your roller.

X2, this is a standard fix in the shade industry.

Bob,

I have found several of my shades were poorly assembled by United Shades to start with.

What I did was to remove the shade and completely unroll it and see if there is a fold in the material or loose material and then roll it back up while watching the ends to see if it rolls straight. If it still does not roll straight then unroll and look at how the material was attached to the roller tube. There is a straight line in the aluminum roller tube that one would think could be followed by the person installing it but this appears not to the case. With a relatively warm shade you can carefully peel the shade off the roller tube and properly align it on the line with the same sticky part of the material. Re-roll the shade and check for straightness or that if anything is rolls slightly away from the end with the motor where most of the binding occurs.

Since doing this to several of my shades I have not had any further problems.
