Anyone recall the reasons for leaks over the entry door?

We've been fighting this same leak for three years and can't seem to get it solved. The water comes down just behind the entry door from behind the control panel. Just need something new to direct the tech when we bring it to the shop. All the mounting bolts for the door awning and the wiring hole have been resealed multiple times. The tech seems to think that it's coming from further back in the coach and following a channel to the door area.

Any suggestions may be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Robert, there were several posts going back to 2014 where it was the screws for the side molding not sealed and in some cases the screws were not installed. The water would run down the channel and leak above the door. I'll see if I can find any of the posts.

Have you checked the trim piece with the plastic insert that attaches the front cap to the sidewall? This was a known leak on the drivers side and it may be on the passenger side as well. In some instances screw holes were drilled but not filled and also caulking missing. You may need to look a ways back on that trim piece to find where it is coming in.

My drivers side was leaking 2 years ago and I solved it with filling void screw holes and proper caulking.

My leak was the rubber boot on the TV antenna where the coax enters the roof. Came loose and water was entering there and running over to the door side, then down. I used Silicone and 2 small clamps to keep it secure.

I use the green box marked "powered by Google" with irv2 clicked on. The box is to the left of your "welcome" page.

In the box I type: Entegra then what I am searching for. It will pull up those post on the Entegra Forum first. I remembered the post was by Corey asking for Entegra owners only about roof leaks. It was the second post that came up.

DoggieDad

I fought the same leak on my Tad-less 2014 until the third visit to service, a quick turn back to Middlebury with water inside after it had been fixed and it finally stopped. As others said the leak was due to screw holes about 20ft aft of the front door in the trim channel at the top of the vertical sidewalls.

Had I not got it fixed I was preparing Entegra CS that I was going to take the coach to a RV center that had a SealTech machine (Google it....SealTechUSA).

SealTech Manufacturing USA | Industry Standard for RV Leak Detection

For a modest fee the RV place puts one of these machines inside your RV. It uses a big fan to overpressurize the RV with the doors and windows shut. The tech squirts soapy water on ever joint or opening and discovers leak points that create bubbles.

Good advice on the rubber boot for the TV antenna! Also have the tech check out the clearance lights. Actually remove them and reapply the sealant/bedding underneath them if necessary. Your leak may be coming from there and "manifesting" itself over the entrance door. Just a thought.
