Aqua Hot 250D fumes and still no electric

We (college son home for summer & I) replaced the Aqua hot burner nozzle and diesel filter, and resolved the diesel fumes from entering the bedroom by removing the “snazzy”, ill fit chrome exhaust pipe extension. The AH manual clearly states that the exhaust should not be pointed down due to fire risk. Which the pipe was not until Entegra flattened a chrome extension to it. This not only made it protrude and potentially catch legs near by, it also created a fire hazard ad allowed fumes to rise into the bedroom slide & window. Risking some car show point deductions, at least we won’t get caught on it and it the exhaust propels out and away from the coach.

As for the electric, the heating element was too buried to access and we attempted to press in the sensors’ reset buttons. They appear to be sticking out, but I’m not sure what extended vs. reset looks like..

The AH installation manual also states that the exhaust should not exit under or near a slide out. Yet every coach manufacturer (EXCEPT American Coach) chooses to cheap out on the exhaust tubing going to the rear of the coach. After my current trip I am going to see if I can find an exhaust specialist and have my AH moved to the rear or at least explore the costs assosciated with such a move.

Kudos to AC for doing that exhaust properly.

At least on the Classic, we don’t have an issue with AH exhausts into the coach.
Those down turned exhaust tips look nice but can catch road debris. I had one removed by a tire tread. No more.

The reset button looks the same popped or not. When you push it in you will feel it reset, or you can take an ohm meter to it

The reset is a hard button to push. Small philips head will give you a point that would make it easier to push far enough for the reset. It's a distinct pop when it resets but you have to push further then you think.
