Aqua Hot 375LP Question

This is a new to me coach and the people before me did not do the maintenance on the unit. I see people are having problems with sludge so I read the manual and it said nothing about flushing the unit before putting new fluid in. Im not having any problems but want to stay in front of this.

Should I at this point drain the fluid and replace with new?
Is it possible to flush the unit before adding new fluid?

I have the same coach as you do. I haven't had any problems with mine turning to sludge. The 375lp is pretty much a maintenance free system.

Also if you need to had fluid make sure you use the same color of fluid. Don't mix at all very bad.

The fluid that is in your unit, is it the Century Green, or the Cameco Pink fluid? The only way to tell if the fluid is due to be changed is with a Refractometer. Pages 15-17 in the owners manual. http://www.aquahot.com/files/owners_...ual02-2011.pdf
They can be purchased on Amazon very reasonably.
Very few, if any problems with the Camco Pink. The Century Fluid seems to be a crap shoot.

I have the Red, not Green in mine. I've noticed, if using electric only, tends to sludge up a little. If I leave both Electric and LP on (switches in the closet), don't have a problem with sludge.

Cheers!

Ok i have been at this a few years F84678 and I know what sludge is but how do you know you have it in AH

My unit has been John corrilloed (he is good) a few times and he says new radiator cap, new nozzle, adjust, lub the fans you are good for at least another year. He did look at my pink overflow tank drained it sold me a gal of camco fluid and refilled tank said all looks fine

My observations are only at the Expansion Tank. I tend to get chunky particles on the wall of the tank if only using electric. If I leave the LP on continuously, I don't have this problem.

You got me, on radiator cap. What model is your Aqua Hot?

We had our 375LP unit (Pink fluid) flushed and refilled at the Spartan class at MHSRV last year. We've had no problems, but they had a good set up to drain, flush, and refill and did so.
