The fuel burn is somewhere between .35 and .41 gal per hour depending where you look or who you ask. The latest version of the
Service Manual says .40 gal/hr (page 8).
So that's how much fuel it burns when the burner is running. The amount the burner runs will vary with the outside conditions, what you have the thermostat set at, etc. The burner will normally never need to run continuously.
I can tell you that in just below freezing temps (30 degrees) with the floor heat going overnight our burner ran about 8 hours over roughly a 24 hour period. Not running the floor heat should save you some fuel. At 4 degrees outside temp I wouldn't be surprised to see the burner run at least half the time.
At .4 gal/hr if the burner ran half the time (12 hours) total fuel consumed would be about 5 gal per day. You should be OK.
