Aqua Hot problem

Going to get down to 20 degrees tonight. Aqua Hot Diesel will run for about 10 minutes then the green light on the Diesel switch turns off and it shuts down. I can turn switch off and back on and it will run again and just does the same thing. I have no red lights on the panel in the basement above the Aqua Hot. I have had all three pumps replaced. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I had this happen a year ago. Burner turns on lights up and shuts of after a small amount of time - green light went dark even though diesel burner swith in was on. It turned out I needed an Aquahot tune up. I replaced the burner nozzle and fuel filter and all was fixed.

Thanks for the response. It was fully serviced exactly one year ago with very few hours put on it since then. Maybe I have a plugged nozzle.

I'd turn on the electric switch on the Aquahot for now and run the electric fireplace if you have one on your coach.

I now try to carry a spare nozzle and fuel filter for these situations. You maybe able to take the nozzle off and blow compressed air through it to clear it out.

Good luck

My aquahot did the exact same thing.

I borrowed a burner controller from another, but older aquahot (actually a hydrohot) and that controller ran my aquahot flawlessly. So in my case, the cure was a new electronic burner controller.

If you are hooked up to shore power in addition to turning on the fireplace put a 1500 watt electric heater in the basement. Make sure nothing is in front of it.

And put a 60 watt light bulb on a drop cord in the wet bay to prevent it from freezing.

I had this same situation but i was trying to start the Aquahot while in storage in colder weather to use it to preheat the cummins. I think it would not fire off in the cold due to needing a tuneup. I ended up starting the cummins cold and as it warmed up the Aquahot tank the Aquahot would then light the diesel burner.

If you are plugged in and have the electric element turned on then this is a moot point but if the coach is stone cold and not plugged in you might try starting the engine to put heat into the Aquahot.

Insure you have more than a 1/4 tank of diesel - should also consider shutting down the electrics (110 and 12 volt) for about 15 minutes to see if the controller will reset.
