Aquahot fluid usage

I just used my in floor heat for the first time this past weekend. I wanted to be certain the system worked ok as I never used it before. The reservoir was exactly at the cold fill line when I turned it on. Ran for 10 hours, the floor was warm and I shut it off and went to heat pumps. The outside temp was around 30 degrees and the heat pumps kept us warm. The next day before leaving, I found the reservoir dry. Checked around the coach, and especially under the overflow tube from the reservoir and everything was dry. I the checked the basement and it was all dry as well. I also checked around the aquahot unit and everything there was dry and intact. I just don't know where all the fluid went... Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

I'm certainly not an expert in this but I had the same problem. When I took it in they checked for leaks. The way they filled it was run it for awhile, shut it off, and fill it to the hot mark. That was over a year ago and I've only added a little since. But that's the way I do it now.

They always have a certain amount of air in the system when built, some more than others. Fill it back up with the proper fluid and run it some more. It should stabilize shortly and require no more fluid. Mine took a couple of fills.

My coach was taken by transport back to Entegra for some final paint issues. It arrived there yesterday. I spoke to my contact I CS and he said it was "eerily familiar". He was going to check with his techs in the ,print and let me know. Thanks for all your advice. I will keep you posted as to the outcome.

X2! Lot's of air in the system after initial startup or pump change. One of the pump replacement procedures involves bypassing the controls and running the circulation pumps for about 30 minutes to get rid of excess air in the system. Keep an eye on it and add fluid as necessary. Should stabilize after a bit of use.

This coach seems to have the system purged quite well because the level remains steady. However, I consider that rare. Most Aqua-Hot system do run a bit low after usage due to air pockets. Our last coach took a year for the fluid level to finally settle and probably went through a gallon and a half and then remained steady for the next 7 years. And we didn't have that big hydronic loop in the floor or it would probably have used even more.
