We use the Napa filters and you won’t beat that nozzle price from Amazon. Make sure you clean the burn chamber and photo eye.

Mr Clams

AquaHot service is certainly not just a filter change and a new nozzle.

You have to pull the combustion chamber and de-soot everything (wire brush) and inspect it carefully for cracks or problems, and re-gap the the igniters, and one of the hardest parts of annual service is getting the bolts/nuts that hold the burner in the combustion chamber at just the right and balanced torque,

I do a lot of my own routine service, but if one of the three - five well known gurus of AquaHot service are anywhere near me, the ~ $200 for a pro to do my annual service is a price I am happy to pay for a real pro to do that task.

If you are handy this is something you can do...

I don't change my oil or service my transmission but I do an annual service on my Aquahot. Get the parts from Amazon, watch a Youtube video and in 2 hours you should be done. The first one is a little challenging but the following ones should take about an hour... Troubleshooting is more challenging but saving a couple hundred dollars, for the annual service, is satisfying enough for me...

I was concerned about the correct size parts. I am positive it's something I can do my back is better daily. I will keep a kit always on board.. my main concerns is to always have the correct parts in stock in basement
