Charley,

I did the factory tour and they have a "Quick Start Guide" that differs from your list, although yours is very thorough.

Hi IRV2 Friends,

Hi, Charley...

Awesome checklist,
thanks !!
~~~
We will incorporate
parts of yours into our
existing checklist.
Over the past year,
it has proven to be
a work-in-progress
as time and experience lends
itself to ongoing updates...
BTW,
for item 5:
The following
! WARNING !
note is from page 7-16 of my
2013 Aspire Owners Manual...
"Do not attach any item to any
leveling jack, or use wood blocks
or pads under the jacks, as doing so
will affect the leveling system
performance and may damage
the leveling jack system."
We also prefer to
get the utilities hooked
up first on arrival before
putting out the slides
and leveling...helps to
get the air-conditioning
running first in hot locales,
and also makes for fewers body
gyrations trying to avoid the
extended slide outs while
connecting the utilities.
We've also found that
prior to connecting
the electric on arrival,
we do a quick pedestal
voltage check just
to make sure the
onboard surge protector
doesn't have to work
overtime...those kind
of surprises really
do cut into Happy Hour.
Sure you will hear lots
of other good technique feedback
from all the Entegra pros on this site !!
Thanks Again.
Cheers,
Gary
Will this meter check everything you need to check on the power pedestal at the rv park? I found them on Amazon for $28.00!
Hi IRV2 Friends,
Hi, JJ...
A bit off the OP topic,
but to answer your question...
As you can see from the
front of the unit, it seems
to check for most of the
commonly found electrical
faults...
...so we've been
happy with the
product. Saved us
from big headaches
one day on the road
near Las Cruces,
New Mexico...
Stopped at a nice
park, the device
found extremely
low-voltage throughout
the park, we moved on
to another park that
had full-rated voltage.
To check the 50 amp
receptacle at the pedestal,
we use a 50 amp to 30 amp
dogbone connector and
a 30 amp to 15 amp plug
to attach to the voltage unit.
Cheers,
Gary
I have my depart checklist laminated with a Velcro strap attached. I attach it to the steering wheel so I am sure to see it and use it everytime. My list has saved me more than once leaving the camp and the driveway.
I've been asked by several about the "Quick Start Guide" which is not only arrival/departure information, but also addresses the HVAC Zones. I uploaded these the wrong way, but if you call Entegra at the 1-800- on the bottom, I'm sure they would send you this card and you could laminate it. Sorry for the poor exposure.
This will be printed on some hard card stock and used with the new coach. Thanks for posting this. As long as I have been RV'ing I still use a check list with a new coach until everything becomes habit. Especially the Entegra with the "backwards" slide deployment
I agree except that we use it even after we "think" we have everything down to a habit. Seems like as we get older the habit cells degrade along with everything else......
We also have a checklist for packing since the coach is stored far enough away that forgetting things causes inconvenience and damages marital bliss.
After running into three power pedestals that didn't work the first thing on my list is connect power.
I think drgary was trying to say that but his post is not very readable.
