So we are on a our way from Houston to Branson….. brakes starting to act weird…. All starts ok, PSI on tanks read correctly. Now when pressing the brakes you can hear air escaping from under the dash on the drivers side and levels of PSI on start dropping fast while pressing brakes. Once you release brakes compressor builds missing PSI quick.

We have an appointment at Branson Motorcoach on Wednesday AM to diagnose and then back the next day or so if they need parts ordered.

Anybody had something like this happening before?

Air pressure leak from the brake valve or the connections from it to the brake chambers .

Do both gauges loose the same amount of pressure ?

How far do you have to drive to get to the appointment ?
Does the shop offer mobile service ?

Abe, if can, search the air brake release. I think there was a similar problem a few years ago.
Might help in the diagnosis.

Abe, I did some searching but was unable to find the correct thread.
Hopefully, someone chimes in with knowledge.
The posts I found related to some other issues that may or not be related.
Both mentioned failed air dryers and lack of bleeding air tanks which probably aren’t related to your issue.
Hope they have a mobile tech.

Skip. Yes, both gauges fall at the same rate and same amounts. Sorry I did not answer before. We got into Ozarks RV Resort all okay. Appointment is tomorrow 8 am. So leaving the resort around 7, will drop coach at 8 and will visit Branson. They will diagnose and fix unless they need parts and if so, we pick up coach and return 2 days latter to fix. I was not able to ask about mobile techs.

Will this be an expensive fix? What is not expensive on this things. Anyway.

We really like walking DT Branson. Great way to kill a half day.
Fingers crossed for easy fix.

Well. Coach is in……. Hopefully will be simple and parts will be there. Now waiting at Billy Gail’s for breakfast. Ken and John at Branson Motorcoach Specialist were really nice making space for us this AM…. We are in the area at least until the 27. Will keep you posted.

I am told is an Air Release Valve that is failing. Apparently not expensive part (25 or so). They ordered the part and should be in shortly. Hopeful that can replace it today.
