Aspire DEQ or DLQ owners, I need pictures of your Dryer Vent
We are installing a washer and dryer in our 2012 Insignia and your Washer Dryer cabinet is the same as ours.
What I need is pictures of your Dryer Vent where it exits into the engine bay and how it is attached.
I have received many helpful replies to my earlier post on this forum and because of that we figured out your cabinets are the same.
Any help would be appreciated.

Let me know if you need pics at different angles. Looks like the hose comes straight done through the floor then makes the S turn to the vent/critter screen.

Forgot to add:
The space behind the washer/dryer is is enough for this hose to come straight down. This is on a 2013 DEQ Aspire.

Need to correct last post.
It's been awhile since removed the panel in the closet. Although there is about six inches of space, the dryer hose goes straight through the common wall of the closet then must go down and out the bottom like previous picture.

Keith, Thank you so much for the pictures
Can you tell what brand or model # the vent/critter screen is?
On my Insignia there is a label on the back wall that say's to drill there for the vent...it may be better to go through the floor like yours does (less restrictions)

I just see one dryer vent listed.
I'm assuming that once you cut through the back wall, there will be insulation to remove so you can route the dryer hose down. If you go straight down behind the dryer there might not be enough room to come out like the picture.

Yes. The last two pictures show it going straight back and through the wall.

Dave, Just as a suggestion...If Entegra has marked where the dyer hose is to be installed...there is probably a clear path with no wire or hoses behind that area. I would drill a pilot hole first and make sure there is nothing in the path behind where the large 4 inch hole will be cut. The spray foam that Keith showed in his photo is an excellent idea to keep the exhaust fumes out that you were concerned about.
Looks like a fun project and nice that everything is already there.

One thing to consider. The outlet from the factory has a fairly small mesh "screen" behind the flap which clogs with lint fairly soon after beginning of use. I have had to remove it from the hose and clean it several times. Finally, I replaced it with a regular house type vent and covered that with 1/2 inch wire mesh. This solved the clogging problem and, so far, no critters.

Here are some pictures of the back cap area taken at the factory today. Gives you an idea of the layout.
WOW.....right from the Mother Ship...Thanks Keith.
I do have a couple of questions...looking at the picture of the plumbing do you know which water supply is hot? Left or right. (mine is not labeled)
I'm a little confused about the dryer vent hole...if I understand correctly it looks like it goes through the floor?? Is that right?
Thanks again for the great pictures.
Your timing could not be better Home Depot delivered the WD today and I convinced them to put them inside the coach for me...

From were I stood, I could not see which is hot. I would guess left is hot but not 100% sure. Most of the hoses had red or blue tape on the PEX lines but not these. I would fire up the Aqua Hot and use a garden hose to drain the water off and turn on a valve and check for hot water.
The aluminium frame shown is the back of the closet/washer/dryer wall. After the vent hose goes through that (as marked on your wall) it would turn down and go through the horizontal piece with black wrap on it in picture 2. The hole shown in that pic is for the air conditioner drain tube but the dryer vent hole would be located to the left about a foot. The hole wasn't cut in yet. The last pic was the next bay over were the insulation was installed.

A Plumber friend once told me that "hot water is always on the left and sh-- does not flow up hill". With those words, he said, that was all I needed to know to be a plumber.
