According to Entegra the 2013 Aspire uses the 35W. It gets confusing.

Note that IIRC headlight bulbs over 55 watts are not approved for on-road use.

I recently had to replace both of the low beams on my Aspire. One was burned out (the inside of the bulb was all black) but the other bulb just had a broken filament. I suspect that they are not well secured against vibration. I also think that the wires are not secured against movement close to the bulbs, allowing the sway of the large wire loops to put stress on the bulb.

Do you have a photo of the bulb you used.

I would like to find out is something like the link below would work. Big difference between the normal 5,000 hours of service.

They are regular H1 bulbs. Entegra sent me two new bulbs under warranty.

I believe it is the one I have purchased - can get at most Auto Part Stores, and maybe even Walmart. My book lists options for Halogen, and the Xenon bulbs:

Bulb #78105 for Halogen for High & Low beams

Bulb #D1S-35W Xenon for Low, Vendor Part Number 85105

The description of the Xenon states HID 120mm/0202498 for low, and HID 90mm/0202502 for low as well, but the same 85105 part number. Don't know how to interpret that? Could be a misprint, maybe one for low and one for high?

May just stick to day driving

The bulbs plug into the lamp. If you look at the lamp, the high beam is pretty clear while the low beam has moldings on the bottom half of the lens. These provide the upper cutoff required for a low beam.

It looks like Xenon has a led replacement for the H1 bulb. I am going call them on Monday and see what information I can get.

That's what I used to replace mine. The curb side is much easier to replace than the road side

I spoke to the folks at the link enclosed. They claim the H1 bulb can be converted, plug and play to LED. I am thinking about giving it a try. Here is the link.

I'm watching this one too. If you do order and install, please post results. I will do the same.

Sent the wrong ones. Have to return and reship. Will not be able to fool with it for a few weeks.
